Deschooling Classroom – Selbstorganisiertes Lernen in Kunst und Kultur (2009-2012)
Deschooling Classroom is a project that addresses the contemporary independent cultural scene in the region, researching and offering an alternative to the hierarchical models of education in the art and culture. Mainstream educational models predominantly focus on exclusivity and individuality and so impede democratisation of our countries. In response to this, our project aims to enable democratic models of knowledge production and distribution that will contribute to the cultural scenes. Methodologically, the project moves away from the concepts of individual authorship and expertise, and advocates open collective educational structures where self-organised communities facilitate horizontal production, exchange and distribution of knowledge.
Cultural Center Tocka (2002-2010)
From May 2002 through April 2010 the NGO has operated the cultural center Tocka, which both served as a bookstore for the in-house publisher "Templum" as well as a venue for public debates and also artistic and cultural events.
